Most stock screeners optimize for noise — momentum chasers, penny-stock spikes, or yield traps. The BlueChip Pullback screener filters a curated universe of 130+ blue-chip companies through pullback, technical, fundamental, and valuation criteria simultaneously.
The screening filters
- Pullback: 15%–30% from 52-week high
- RSI: 25–40 (oversold)
- Bollinger Band: at or near lower band
- Moving averages: near 100-day or 200-day SMA
- Fundamentals: positive FCF, stable revenue, healthy balance sheet
- Valuation: at or below 5-year average
- Red flags: earnings risk, broken support, sector weakness
The 130-stock universe
The screener focuses on durable large-cap names across sectors — staples, healthcare, mega-cap tech, industrials, financials, and select consumer brands. Smaller speculative names and illiquid micro-caps are excluded by design.
Output: a 100-point score
Every match is scored 0–100 and labeled Strong Add, Stage 2 Add, Stage 1 Starter, Watchlist Only, or Avoid. See the methodology for category weights.
